Recently a friend of mine is planning on a road trip to a few countries in Europe. Starting from Spain drive through France, and eventually, reach Germany. My friend plans to enjoy autobahn at the end of his trip. I asked him, “wow, I like your trip plan. What kind of cars do you plan to drive?”. He said, “Since I’d like to enjoy no speed limit highway in Germany, I would rent a fast car yet since I will be driving for a long distance, I need a diesel car for good gas mileage.” Then it occurred to me that old diesel cars are banned in most cities in Europe. So I asked him. “Do you know that old diesel cars might be banned in major cities in Europe? As an instance, you can’t enter Paris downtown (Restricted Circulation Zone: ZCR).”
My friend got freaked out by this news. Evidently, he was not aware of this. I told him to make sure to rent Euro-6 compliant diesel cars.
This is not limited to Paris. German government who always in favor of the automobile industry banned old diesel cars in Stuttgart, Germany. It happens in Seoul, Korea as well. When I drive to Seoul (from my home in a suburban area), I see a few traffic control cameras that say “checking old diesel cars” What’s happening to our world?
Diesel fuel by itself is supposed to be clean. But turbo diesel engine recycles fuel to get the most out of it, it produces carbon sludge a by-product. When this cumulated in intake manifold area, it degrades engine performance and it produces unwanted pollutants.
To remove these pollutants, old diesel cars install DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter). But this has the limitation. When enough pollutants need to be processed in DPF, it’s overloaded which will malfunction or couldn’t process pollutants in time. So the best way to handle this is through intake manifold cleaning manually.
First of all, not many diesel car owners know that they have to do intake manifold manual cleaning but also car manufacturer doesn’t tell owners about this information as they fear this news might scare them to choose gasoline cars.
People say, “That’s why I chose the Euro 6 compliant diesel car.” One thing for sure is that no diesel cars can be freed from carbon sludge.
At this point, you might wonder “isn’t there any other way?” The answer is “yes. We developed an adaptor which fundamentally takes care of the carbon sludge issue. This will keep your diesel engine clean and at its best performance.
If just bought a Euro 6 compliant diesel car, and if you don’t want carbon sludge in your engine from the begin with, D Clean might be your solution. Click below image for details of D Clean results.
